Big government not a solution

John Stossel has this to say about big government and the state-run media’s “solution” to the fiscal crisis.

The dreary article quotes nearly every liberal economist and concludes that because we are in “such a deep hole,” “solutions—like more-aggressive support for the unemployed, and employer tax credits or other subsidies …—are straightforward and obvious…

Gee, paying people who don’t work, and complicated tax credits are the obvious solution.  Who knew?

FDR insisted that more (LOTS more) government spending would create jobs and end the Depression. Yet double digit unemployment wasn’t reduced for a full seven years after the New Deal began. No matter how you spin it, WWII ended the Depression.
